The War on Drugs

CNN's Special "Lou Dobbs "The War Within - Stopping the Drugs" aired this evening 8:PM states that "illegal drugs are truely WEAPONS of MASS DESTRUCTION". Drugs are claiming our young, our institutions, business' and family life. Crime Talk America sees the Drug War as only political language, while politicians claim they spend billions, they have failed over decades to hinder and reduce the drug use and abuse in America. Now Terror Networks are profiting from the Poppy Market, coming from Afghanistan, reducing our enforcement efforts while we fight the war in Iraq. Let's engage the future presidential candidates to develope a substantial program to reduce the drug market within the borders of America, in our schools and our communities. Enforcement alone is not enough. Counseling, treatment and mandatory treatment centers ordered by Drug Court Judges may be one of the first steps. Intervention in the family of drug abusers, mandating parental participation, and teacher identification of the students in trouble, would be a good first step to combat and succeed in the battle of drug abuse.....Crime Talk America
